The Next One

Inspiration: Drunk Love in a Cabin from Denyse Schmidt Quilts.

I picked up pale yellow, bright green and olive green to use for the "logs" and a turquoise striped courdoroy for the center squares.

This one is for my cousin's baby due in early Feb. and of unknown gender. They are not shower-before-the-baby-arrives kind of people, so by the time I give this to them, we'll know what she's had. At that point I'll decide how to give the blanket a boy or girl feel. Maybe some applique, colored thread quilting, something like that.

In any case, I'm looking forward to getting started on this one!
